Renovation of Alavanyo Kpeme United E.P Primary School Nears Completion

Hohoe, Ghana – The long-awaited renovation of the Alavanyo Kpeme United E.P Primary School, which commenced in 2024, is now 95% complete, marking a significant milestone in efforts to improve educational infrastructure within the Hohoe Municipality.

The renovation project has transformed the school, providing modernized classrooms and upgraded facilities aimed at fostering a more conducive learning environment for students. The near-completion of this initiative has been met with excitement by educators, students, and parents, who believe it will enhance academic performance and overall school experience.

Despite this progress, several schools within the municipality continue to operate under dilapidated conditions, with some students still studying under trees due to the lack of proper classroom structures. This remains a pressing concern for local authorities and education stakeholders.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Hohoe, Hon. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, has reiterated his commitment to advocating for improved school infrastructure. He has pledged to work closely with the government and other relevant agencies to eliminate schools under trees and ensure that every child in the municipality has access to safe, functional, and modern learning spaces.

“My office will continue to push for the development of more schools and classrooms to replace dilapidated structures. Our children deserve the best conditions for learning, and we will not relent in our efforts to secure the necessary resources and support to make this vision a reality,” the MP affirmed.

As the renovation of Alavanyo Kpeme United E.P Primary School nears completion, authorities are calling on government agencies, private sector partners, and non-governmental organizations to support the broader goal of improving education infrastructure in Hohoe.

With continued efforts, the hope is that all students in the municipality will soon study in safe and conducive environments, paving the way for a brighter future for education in Hohoe.
